Hawkers St – “Awesome Asian Streetfood in Cainta!”

by Chad

Deep within the depths of the Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall food court, lies a one of a kind food stall called Hawkers St. Asian Streetfood that offers almost-authentic Malaysian / Singapore-inspired street cuisines. Whenever I’m in the area, this establishment is one of the places I consider to go to first if I want affordable yet belly-filling and delicious snacks.

Their only branch is positioned at the farthest corner of the mall’s food court, located at the basement of Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall, Cainta, Rizal. You won’t miss it! They’re the only stall where customers can actually see their food being prepared and cooked just like the picture below. It’s quite a show.

Other than that, they don’t serve their meals in your usual fast food plastic plates, but in aluminum mini-frying pans! Upon entering the food court, you’ll easily see the patrons of the establishment just by looking at those custom plates.

SM Masinag at a Glance

by Chad

The 41st SM Supermall, dubbed SM Masinag, has finally opened its doors to the public last Thursday! Meaning, an emergence of catastrophic change of conveniences and inconveniences around citizens living within a 20-mile radius from Masinag. For people passing by Marcos Hi-way everyday to go to work, expect an increase in traffic. And those living near the Sumulong Hi-way and Marcos Hi-way intersection, expect an ultra-near place to hang out to! What’s best about it in my case, is that it’s just a 5-minute jeep ride from my house. Huzzah!

The pictures posted here were taken yesterday – but my sister, her boyfriend and I actually went on the opening day to see what the ruckus is all about. And as to be expected, there was a swarm of excited shoppers and bystanders alike ravaging across every floor. The first thing we noticed upon entering was the center stage used for events where Juris was performing.

Upcoming Anime Reviews

by Chad

Due to work and my self-sufficing indolence, I haven’t been able to post much lately – and I am terrible sorry for that. But fear not! Blogging will be my top priority whenever free time permits, so entries will still keep on coming as usual – though it’s only a matter of when.

So, how much have I lagged lately? I’ve been keeping a list of my favorite anime to be reviewed ever since I started this blog, and it seems to have been piling up one after another. Not to mention that occasional writer’s block I’ve been having. Well, watching anime certainly is delightful – but sharing it with other people also gives a unique sense of gratification and world peace in itself. And that is exactly why I shall keep on writing.

Below is a list of 20 shows and if it’s in red, I still am yet to make a review on that anime. Wait for it! :)

Coming Soon: The All New Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni Kira!

by Chad

The anime production company Frontier Works announced in their official Twitter account that a new OVA series, Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni Kira, is going to launch to mark the Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni horror franchise’s 10th anniversary. There will be 4 new episodes in this OVA.

Of course, the original creators Ryukishi07 and 07th expansion produced the story while having Toshifumi Kawase again supervise the scripts. Hideki Tachibana will be the new director. I hope he won’t stray far off from the Higurashi feel. That is – killer lolis!

Based from Wikia:

The first volume will adapt the original software’s Batsukoishi-hen storyline, while the remaining volumes will have all-new original stories. There will be limited edition volumes with deluxe bonus extras, as well as regular edition volumes.
